การศึกษาความหลากหลายของเฟิร์นอิงอาศัยในลุ่มน้ำห้วยคอกม้าดอยสุเทพ-ปุย จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ ตั้งแต่เดือนธันวาคม พ.ศ. 2555 ถึงเดือนธันวาคม พ.ศ. 2556 โดยสำรวจและเก็บตัวอย่างในแปลงถาวรขนาด 16 เฮกแตร์ (400x400 ตารางเมตร) ซึ่งเป็นป่าดิบเขาต่ำที่สูงจากระดับน้ำทะเล 1,300-1,440 เมตร พบเฟิร์นอิงอาศัย 5 วงศ์ 1 วงศ์ย่อย 9 สกุล 11 ชนิด 1 พันธุ์ ได้แก่ วงศ์ Davalliaceae 2 สกุล 3 ชนิด 1 พันธุ์ ได้แก่ กูดทอง (Davalliarepens (L.f.) Kuhn), นาคราชเกล็ดดำ (D. trichomanoides Blume var. lorrainii (Hance) Holttum) และกูดยูง (Davallodes pulchra (D. Don) M. Kato & Tsutsumi) วงศ์ Dryopteridaceae 1 สกุล 1 ชนิด คือ Elaphoglossum marginatum (Wall. exFée) T. Moore วงศ์ Hymenophyllaceae 1 สกุล 1 ชนิด คือ Hymenophyllum exsertum Wall. ex Hook. วงศ์ Polypodiaceae 3 สกุล 3 ชนิด ได้แก่ Lepisorusbicolor (Takeda) Ching, Loxogramme chinensis Ching และกูดฮ่อม (Selliguea oxyloba (Wall.ex Kunze) Fraser-Jenk.) และ วงศ์ Pteridaceae วงศ์ย่อย Vittarioideae 2 สกุล 3 ชนิด ได้แก่ Antrophyum parvulum Blume, Haplopterisangustifolia (Blume) E.H. Crane และ H.flexuosa (Fée) E.H. Crane
Diversity of epiphytic ferns in Huai Khok Mawatershed, DoiSuthep-Pui, Chiang Mai province was conducted from December 2012 to December 2013. Field explorations and specimen collections were made in permanent plot of 16 hectares (400x400 m2) representing of lower montane rain forest at 1,300-1,440 m.s.l. Five families, one subfamily, nine genera, 11 species and one variety of ferns were identified, i.e. Davalliaceae two genera, three species and one variety (Davallia repens (L.f.)Kuhn, D. trichomanoides Blumevar. lorrainii (Hance) Holttum and Davallodes pulchra (D. Don) M. Kato & Tsutsumi), Dryopteridaceae one genus and one species (Elaphoglossum marginatum (Wall. ex Fée) T. Moore), Hymenophyllaceae one genus and one species (Hymenophyllum exsertum Wall. ex Hook.), Polypodiaceae three genera, three species (Lepisorus bicolor (Takeda) Ching, Loxogramme chinensis Ching and Selliguea oxyloba (Wall.ex Kunze) Fraser-Jenk.) and Pteridaceae subfamily Vittarioideae two genera and three species (Antrophyum parvulum Blume, Haplopteris angustifolia (Blume) E.H. Crane and H. flexuosa (Fée) E.H. Crane).
