Descriptions, updatedinformation on distribution ranges and two illustrations are provided for three orchids newly discovered in Laos, namely, Cheirostylisoctodactyla Ames, Peristylus lacertiferus (Lindl.) J. J. Sm. and Vanillasomae Hayata. Cheirostylis pingbianensis K. Y. Lang isreduced to the synonymy of C. octodactyla.
